Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Renal unit with night shifts and a focus on recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Renal Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient population includes renal and telemetry cases
• Meditech EMR is used in this setting
• 13-week contract assignment
• Local candidates are welcome at the same rates
• Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
• Cardiac exam link provided after offer acceptance with a 24-hour completion window
• No pre-employment HealthStream Modules required prior to start
• First-time travelers are eligible to apply
• All shifts require completion of compliance procedures before the start date

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No prior or current disciplinary actions ('hits') on licenses permitted
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 recent year in the specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification likely expected based on standard practice
