Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a KY or compact license and advanced certifications for a 13-week hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Provide care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Assigned to 12-hour day shifts, 07:00 to 19:30
- Rotating weekly schedule of 36 and 48 hours over a two-week pay period
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- Patient ratios and assignments may fluctuate based on census and staffing
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
- Responsibilities include assessment, monitoring, labor support, and patient education for mothers and infants
- No local candidates accepted due to facility radius rules
- Travel pairs are not allowed unless otherwise specified by unit needs
- All travel staff must undergo bi-weekly orientation
- Dress code and scrub color details provided during orientation
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Minimum of 5 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
- Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Experience using Meditech EMR preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
