Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Neuro RN for a days-only position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and BLS/NIH certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 23-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit within an acute care, Level I trauma, Magnet hospital
- Day shift position, Friday to Sunday, with a 6:45 AM start time
- Patient population includes neuro and acute med/surg cases
- Will float within scope as needed to meet unit requirements
- Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
- No on-call required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs may be any solid color
- Maximum of 5 days requested time off will be considered per assignment
- Free parking permit provided; form completed during orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at the time of application
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Neuro nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale
- Experience with PICC line management and IV starts required
- Previous charge RN experience preferred
