Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
  • Active Maryland Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience required, including evaluation and development of treatment plans and delegation of discipline-specific therapy services.
  • Experience with comprehensive evaluations, 60-minute initial evaluations, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, documentation and charge entry in compliance with state and payer guidelines.
  • Experience working with students and providing clinical supervision preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional return to community activities and discharge planning.
  • Ability to follow clinic safety protocols, safe patient handling practices, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete required state-mandated continuing education. Preferred: additional certifications or specialized continuing education in outpatient orthopedics or related areas.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Outpatient clinic.
  • Duration: 13 week assignment.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week; typical weekly pattern M, Th 9:30 AM–7:00 PM; T, W 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; F 7:30 AM–1:30 PM.
  • Shift Structure: 5x8 format with varied start and end times as listed above.
  • Expected caseload includes evaluations, 60-minute initial evaluations, ongoing treatment plan implementation, documentation, and charge entry.
  • Parking available at the clinic.
