Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer serving a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both driving and armed responsibilities, allowing you to remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized individuals from entering restricted zones.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, and/or maintenance issues according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel when required for incident resolution.
• Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed security-related posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
