An established healthcare facility in Massachusetts is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to provide locums inpatient coverage starting mid-December 2025 and continuing until a permanent provider is hired. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and step into a well-structured schedule.

• Location: Massachusetts

• Setting: Inpatient

• Schedule: 1 week per month, ongoing

• Call Structure: Approx. 1:4

  • Friday 4 PM to Friday 4 PM

  • Includes Floor/ED/ICU coverage, emergent consults, and endoscopies (as needed)

  • Beeper call overnight
    

• Adult Gastroenterology

• Inpatient consults and procedures

• Endoscopy

• No outpatient GI or Internal Medicine required

• 4 12 inpatient encounters per day

• Group size: 4 physicians

• Diagnostic & Therapeutic

• Biopsies

• Foreign body removal

• Fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser)

• Injection of varices

• Banding of varices

• PEG placement (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)

• Onsite Lab: Yes

• Onsite X-Ray: Yes

• EMR: EPIC

• Estimated Credentialing: Mid late December

• EUS/ERCP not required
