- East Texas health system is hiring a BE/BC Occupational and Environmental Medicine physician to join their region's leading program serving the beautiful communities of East Texas.
- This role thrives in providing quality patient care, committee participation, and didactic training to residents and medical students.
- The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment commensurate with their credentials.
- Prominence in occupational and environmental medicine and health sciences has been long-standing at the University.
- An established occupational health clinic that is a member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC) and that offers a broad range of occupational health services to workers, employers, and other clients from across the region as well as professional physician services at selected plant-based facilities;
- One of only two ACGME-accredited occupational medicine residency programs in Texas and U.S. Public Health Region 6, and is partially supported through a NIOSH Training Project Grant as well as CMMS-capped GME positions;
- A newly established public health/general preventive medicine residency in a sister Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health;
- A robust portfolio of grants, contracts, and research initiatives in related occupational, environmental, and public health disciplines (e.g., occupational respiratory diseases). This includes the NIOSH-supported Southwest Center for Agricultural Health, Injury Prevention, and Education.
- ABPM board certified or eligible in occupational & environmental medicine
- Experienced and graduating Occupational Medicine physicians are encouraged to apply!
