This role is available ASAP and offers ongoing coverage, ideal for a physician ready to provide comprehensive care in a critical care setting. Position Overview: Profession: Physician Specialty: Critical Care Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Ongoing Shift Type: 24-hour coverage Emergency/Temporary Privileges: Yes Shift Details: Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts, with 12 hours onsite (7 a.m. 7 p.m.) and 12 hours offsite (7 p.m. 7 a.m.) with callback as needed On-Call: Offsite call required during the second half of the shift ICU Coverage Expectations: Patient Management: Perform ICU admissions and consults upon request Provide daily management and rounding on all patients on the critical care service Handoff: Conduct face-to-face clinical handoffs to the incoming critical care provider Documentation: Complete all medical record documentation by the end of the shift Submit professional billable activities by the end of the shift Requirements: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified (No Board Eligible) State License: Active Michigan medical license and CSR required at submission (No IMLC accepted) Certifications: BLS and DEA required Background Check: Must have a clean background for expedited credentialing Local Provider: Preference given to local providers for ease of scheduling and coverage Additional Details: Callbacks: Available for urgent callbacks as required Credentialing: Fast credentialing process for providers with a clean background Licensing: Must have an active Michigan license at the time of submission, no exceptions This locum tenens position offers the chance to work in a highly skilled and supportive ICU environment with a well-structured 24-hour shift pattern.
