- Status: Independent Contractor.
- Integration: Fully integrated with a main hospital, ensuring seamless care handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists for patients needing inpatient admission.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a freestanding emergency room.
- Coverage Flexibility: Must be open to working both day and night shifts to ensure 24-hour coverage.
- Admissions: Coordinate with the main hospital for patient admissions, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including experienced nurses and support staff, to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). We will also consider candidates who are ABPS EM boarded with completed residency or fellowship.
- Experience: Internal Medicine and Family Medicine board-certified providers with extensive Emergency Medicine experience are encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in the state of Florida.
- Certification: ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
