Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN with at least one year of recent pediatric experience and BLS/PALS certification for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric unit of a hospital
- Patient population includes pediatric patients, with NICU experience preferred but not required
- Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
- Floating to other qualified Prisma Health units and campuses may be required per census needs
- Free parking is provided
- Uses Epic EMR; one year of Epic experience required
- All time off requests must be declared at the time of application and are subject to approval based on facility needs
- Travelers must live more than 100 miles from all Prisma Health locations to qualify for travel positions; those living 50 to 99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate, while locals under 50 miles are ineligible
- Staff will only float to units for which they are qualified and have verified competencies
- First time travelers are accepted
- Candidates are expected to comply with holiday coverage as assigned
- Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided at assignment start
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- At least one year of recent pediatric RN experience required
- One year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- NICU experience is preferred but not mandatory
