This locum tenens position seeks psychiatrists to conduct initial and follow-up PTSD and other mental health exams primarily for veterans in Texas. We are currently seeking Psychiatrist Providers to conduct Initial PTSD exams, follow-up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams nationwide.
Details:
- Willing to accept providers with sporadic availability - will be on an as-needed basis.
- Two (2) options for coverage:
- Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Will bill per exam, providing flexibility in workload and schedule.
- Initial PTSD exams, follow-up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams are the primary focus.
- DMA certification available, which allows providers to obtain CME credits. However, certification is required once privileged if not already certified.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs) required for documentation purposes.
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Evaluations are to be completed in VES's provider portal, streamlining the documentation process.
- Record review is required in most cases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Multiple providers needed to meet the demand for mental health assessments.
- Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is essential.
- Active and unrestricted full license is required for practice.
- Completion of DMA training is necessary to become DMA certified.
- CV must include current home address and a copy of ECFMG certificate if attending school in a different country.
