American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department with Level I trauma experience and required certifications including TNCC.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Setting includes adult and pediatric patients, with many admitted patients and ED holding rooms
- Typical patient ratios are 1:5
- Float to Adult PCUs is expected as needed; floating to Peds ED is optional
- Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 to 7:30)
- Weekend coverage required as needed, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
- Uses Cerner EMR system; experience is preferred
- 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 hour workweeks
- Provide emergency care including medication administration and documentation of clinical findings
- High volume of admitted and holding patients in the ED
- Children's hospital and academic teaching environment
- First-time travelers may be considered if Level I trauma experience and required tenure are met
- Black scrubs required; scrubs not provided
- No on-call required
- Assignments longer than 7 days of requested time off require approval
- Active NM or compact RN license; pending license accepted at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required; 1.5 years considered if Level I trauma experience is present
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have prior to consideration), and NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start)
- Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
- COVID vaccination required; exemptions considered with approved documentation
- No candidates residing within a 75-mile radius will be considered
