We are seeking an experienced and dependable Excavator Operator to join our growing pool construction team. This position plays a critical role in preparing residential and commercial sites for pool installations through safe, precise excavation. The ideal candidate has strong equipment experience, a CDL, and takes pride in quality workmanship and jobsite safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and related heavy equipment to excavate pool shells, trenches, and foundations according to plans.
• Perform accurate digging around utilities, structures, and property lines in residential and commercial environments.
• Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and layout markings.
• Safely transport equipment between job sites using CDL as required.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Work closely with supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines.
• Assist with backfilling, grading, and site restoration as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment.
• Valid CDL (required).
• Experience in residential construction, pool construction, or utility excavation preferred.
• Strong understanding of excavation safety and underground utility awareness.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
