Position: Staff Physician

Location: Bakersfield, CA

1099: Full-time, part-time, and PRN

Sign-on Bonus: $100,000 for Full-Time Only

Position Overview:

Accelerated Urgent Care has been voted Best Urgent Care in Bakersfield, CA for eight years. We currently have 18 Southern and Central California clinics to serve all your urgent care needs. We are hiring a full-time or part-time Urgent Care Staff Physician for our Bakersfield, CA region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Urgent Care Physician practices twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break.
• Full-time is 12 monthly shifts, 2 on-call shifts, and managing mid-level providers.
• Part-time is a minimum of 6 shifts per month, and managing mid-level providers
• Treat 4 patients per hour from newborns to geriatrics (full-spectrum care) in a low-acuity setting.
• Bread & Butter Procedures: I&Ds, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair.
• Equipment: We offer in-house Point-of-Care testing and X-rays.
• A Board-Certified Radiologist reads all X-rays, and results are available within 20 minutes for routine orders.
• Easy-to-use EMR: VelociDoc with Dragon dictation and document all patients in one minute

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
• Completion of a formal Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program
• CA Medical License that is active and in good standing
• DEA Certificate
