Full description
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in an outpatient setting efficiently, meeting productivity goals.
- Offer comprehensive care for a patient panel of all ages, handling acute care, chronic disease management, and scheduled visits.
- Evaluate patient issues thoroughly and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
- Maintain clear documentation of patient interactions and clinical records within the EHR.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure coordinated care.
- Exercise sound judgment within the scope of licensure, consulting with other physicians when necessary.
- Facilitate patient referrals for specialist or inpatient services as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and attend clinical meetings regularly.
- Demonstrate professionalism and serve as a clinical role model for the staff.
- Stay updated in the field and adhere to evidence-based family medicine practices.
- Serve as a resource for mid-level practitioners and clinical students.
- Establish relationships with clinical care referral resources in the Greenville area.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special clinical projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and agency information at all times.
- Comply with corporate compliance programs and all relevant healthcare regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice medicine in South Carolina.
- Board eligibility required; must become Board Certified within one year of hire.
- Extensive knowledge of medical diagnosis, family practice, and treatment techniques.
- Familiarity with administrative practices and public health guidelines.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
- Ability to interact with patients and colleagues with warmth and compassion.
