Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN with Epic EMR proficiency and an active NY RN license for a night shift position.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a critical care float pool at a hospital
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Floating to various critical care units may be required
- Epic EMR system is utilized and prior experience is mandatory
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
- Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
- More than three call outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination and make up shifts are required
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Submission to only one position is permitted
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience
- Certifications from AHA or RQI must be current and included
- Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
- Medical documentation required for any flu vaccine exemption
- Competency testing must be completed with up to two attempts allowed
