The Pathology Physician is responsible for grossing surgical tissue specimens, performing frozen sections, and documenting findings using Voicebrook and Cerner EMR systems. The role requires collaboration with pathology teams in inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining quality and turnaround standards. Candidates must be board certified, licensed in Montana or via IMLC, and experienced in surgical specimen processing and pathology workflows.
Shift: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM (8 hours/day + 30-min lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
- Gross surgical tissue specimens per day.
- Perform frozen sections as needed.
- Utilize Voicebrook dictation templates for documentation.
- Work within Cerner EMR for patient and specimen data.
- Collaborate with pathology team and support staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Adhere to all departmental standards, quality measures, and turnaround expectations.
Certifications:
- Must be Board Certified in the appropriate specialty (as required for Pathology Assistant).
Licensure:
- Active Montana license or IMLC accepted.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in surgical specimen grossing.
- Ability to perform frozen sections independently.
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient pathology workflows preferred.
