A well-established walk in Urgent Care clinic in Western Illinois is seeking a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner to join its team. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative environment, and the chance to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

• Shifts: 6a 6p or 10a 10p (typically 4 consecutive shifts)

• Collaborative practice model with physicians and other NPs

• NPs may work independently for short periods (typically 9p 10p)

• Walk-in clinic averaging patients per day, shared among 3 providers

• Streamlined workflow: Take the next patient in line

Typical urgent care presentations include:

• Minor orthopedic injuries, x-rays, splinting, suturing

• Foreign body removal (eye, skin)

• Respiratory illnesses (cough, sore throat, flu)

• Dermatologic complaints (rashes, minor infections)

• Urinary tract infections, STD testing, pelvic exams

Procedural skills required: Splinting and suturing

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois (or ability to obtain before start)

• Certifications: ATLS and PALS required

• Minimum of 1 2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred

• Ability to practice independently within state guidelines

• Consistent 12-hour shifts (4 on / 4 off pattern)

• Supportive clinical team and efficient workflow

• Manageable patient volume and well-equipped facility

• Ongoing or repeat locum assignments available
