Job Description:
This role requires a Registered Nurse to work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on night shifts. The nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population including respiratory, medical, trauma, cardiovascular, and surgical cases, in a Level II trauma center.
Responsibilities:
- Care for respiratory patients including those with CPAP, BiPAP, and tracheostomies.
- Manage patients with complex medical conditions such as MIS-C, new onset diabetes, and oncology.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
- Float to MedSurg or the Emergency Department as needed.
- Participate in the weekend rotation schedule.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years required.
- Skills: Aseptic and sterile techniques, ventilator and trach management, and CRRT experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, PALS required.
- EMR experience with Epic preferred.
