We are seeking an AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist for a 6-week locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This role begins on Apr 27, 2026, and features day shifts from 9am to 5pm. The pathologist will serve as the sole provider, managing grossing and signing out a wide range of pathology cases. Job Details Location: Illinois Start Date: Apr 27, 2026 LOA: 6 weeks Provider Type Needed: Pathologist Schedule: 9am-5pm; scheduled dates include Apr 27 and 28, and Dec 28-31, 2026 Responsibilities and Duties Perform grossing and sign-out for all pathology cases as the sole pathologist Sign out bone marrow biopsies, general surgical pathology, and cytology Review peripheral blood smears and conduct crystal exams Interpret clinic biopsies from general surgery, urology, and gynecology Utilize Meditech and Softpath EMR systems for case management Additional Information Must hold an active Illinois medical license Board certification required in Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology Experience with Meditech EHR and Softpath EMR preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
