Job Details:
• Work varied schedule as medical-surgical registered nurse
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for patients
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate individualized plans of care utilizing assessment data and patient/family input
• Implement care through direct patient contact, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document all assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation activities in patient records
• Provide evidence-based care and may participate in research activities
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in quality care delivery
• Interact with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, patients, families and external contacts
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
