Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Seize an opportunity to support our nation's veterans in Houston, Texas! We are looking for dedicated General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pensions exams and Separation Health Assessments. Practice in a dynamic environment while making a positive impact on veteran care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including muscle strength and range of motion testing.
- Document findings and complete reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Provide services on a per diem or own-office basis, depending on preference and location.
- Participate in training to become DMA certified.
- Work flexible shifts, both half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours), as per the need.
- Maintain a commitment to high standards of patient care while adhering to all guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possess a current active and unrestricted license.
- AANP certification is required.
- Previous experience in General Medicine, with a background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Must have the ability to work independently and manage documentation effectively.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active state medical license (specific to the position s state).
- AANP certification.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Own a laptop (only non-Mac/Apple products).
