About the Medical Group: The Medical Group is a multispecialty provider group, inclusive of clinics, doctors, and advanced practice providers in a broad range of specialties and primary care. The Health System built the city s first hospital and, since our organization was founded 100 years ago, we have been committed to serving our community and creating the best quality of life possible for the patients we serve.
About the Community: New Mexico is a rural state, surrounded by a high-desert landscape and ample wildlife, rich with historical tradition and folklore. Primary languages are English and Spanish coupled with other Indigenous languages such as Navajo. The terrain is supportive of outdoor lifestyles, including mountain biking, hiking, sightseeing, fishing, hunting, winter, and water sports. The cuisine is embedded with the rich culture of Spanish and Indigenous people s ritualistic recipes. The city acts as the hub of NM, as it is the biggest city and centered geographically in the state. Patients from outlying areas seek care for acute and chronic conditions in the metro area, which is served by three main health systems.
