Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring night shifts and strong EKG interpretation skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient population includes post-surgical cases from large orthopedic, colorectal, vascular, and bariatric procedures
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating within skillset required
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Must have been separated from prior employment with the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
- Modules and orientation completed pre-start as indicated by specialty
- Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved per 13-week contract and none allowed during the first two weeks
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
- Team supports a variety of surgical specialties through collaborative care
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Two supervisor references required
