Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a comprehensive liver care ICU assignment, requiring at least 12 months of ICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an intensive care unit specializing in comprehensive liver care and transplant patients
- Assignment includes both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Environment is a drug and tobacco free workplace
- Natural nail policy is enforced
- Provide critical care to liver care and transplant ICU patients
- Must adhere to a smoke free work environment, including no smoking on campus
- Must comply with the facility's natural nail policy
- Time-off requests must be disclosed at time of application and are subject to approval
- Holidays may be required as part of the schedule
- Fingerprinting may be required for ER and Psych candidates before starting, with start date contingent on results
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 12 months recent ICU nursing experience required
- Transplant ICU experience highly preferred
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (ACEN or CCNE); diploma, Associates, or BSN accepted
- BSN preferred
- Must not have been employed by VCU Health within the past six to twelve months
