Inpatient Gastroenterologist Florida Panhandle 7 On / 7 Off Hospital-Employed
A leading regional health system in the Florida Panhandle is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Gastroenterologist to join a dynamic and well-supported GI team. This hospital-based role focuses exclusively on inpatient GI procedures and rounding, with strong APP support and state-of-the-art endoscopy resources.
Position Highlights
- Hospital-only inpatient GI role
- 7 on / 7 off schedule
- Onsite presence from 7 a.m. 5 p.m., with 24-hour service coverage (phone-based after hours)
- Supported by two experienced GI Nurse Practitioners who manage most rounding and consults
- Large, dedicated Endoscopy Suite with the most advanced capabilities in North Florida & South Georgia
- Collaboration with community GI providers to optimize regional care
- Optional academic and teaching participation
- Access to a high-volume, high-acuity GI service line
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient GI procedures
- Provide consultative GI support with APP-led rounding
- Coordinate care with community gastroenterologists
- Support hospital-based GI services across a large regional footprint
Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for Florida medical licensure
- ERCP and EUS proficiency preferred
