Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active NC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a short-term acute care hospital on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule of 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
- Patient ratio is 1:5-6
- Requires floating within scope between like units as needed
- Every other weekend shifts required
- Epic EMR is used and prior experience preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
- System allows a maximum of two contract assignments before a 6-month break is required
- Scrub attire is royal blue and white
- Holiday coverage may be expected according to unit scheduling
- RTO is at the manager's discretion and must be discussed prior to assignment
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Previous staff must be gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
- Pending licenses are not accepted
