The Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides autonomous midlevel care in a Level 4 trauma emergency department, seeing approximately 20 patients per shift with physician oversight available. The role requires board certification, local licensure, and advanced life support certifications, supporting a busy 25-bed ER with specialized services including radiology, laboratory, and surgical backup. This locum position covers recruitment gaps, ensuring continuous emergency care in Springfield, MA with modern electronic health record systems in place.

Compensation: $115 an hour
Start Date: As soon as credentialed!
Schedule: 11a -9p daily
Position Overview:
Will APP be working Autonomously: Yes
Will APP supervising physician be present during assignment: Yes
Reason for Locum coverage: Recruitment Gap
Describe the coverage in more detail: 10-hour midlevel shift (11 AM - 9 PM), will see patients by themselves, but physician is always present for consultation.
Provide information on support staff, APP coverage, number of providers on the team: 1 full-time NP, 2 PRN PAs (can sometimes take shifts)
