The Stamping Maintenance Manager leads and coordinates maintenance activities for stamping operations in an automotive manufacturing setting, focusing on maximizing equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and reliability. This role involves managing a large team, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining production efficiency through effective communication and use of maintenance systems like SAP. The position demands extensive experience in electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting PLC automation, and continuous operational improvements.
The Stamping Maintenance Manager oversees, coordinates, and executes specialized technical processes related to stamping operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures maintenance performance meets or exceeds operational goals, with a strong focus on uptime, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, monitor, and report on maintenance activities, tasks, and performance metrics.
• Own the maintenance index for the stamping area, including downtime, manpower, preventive maintenance completion, maintenance systems, equipment improvements, safety/environmental compliance, and skill development.
• Develop, execute, evaluate, and continuously improve the annual operations plan.
• Foster teamwork through effective communication, meetings, collaboration initiatives, and coordination with cross-functional or international teams.
• Manage daily production conditions and equipment downtime for all stamping operations.
• Maintain flexibility to support rotating shifts and respond to urgent equipment issues, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure SAP and PM systems are updated daily according to stamping shop maintenance activities.
• Apply strong electrical, system engineering, and mechanical knowledge to support equipment performance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain effective cross-department relationships through consistent communication and collaboration.

• 10+ years of maintenance experience in automated manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing teams of 30 or more employees.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications related to electrical and mechanical systems.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience emphasizing mechanical or electrical fields.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for PLC-based automation equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
