Patients per shift: 9 max scheduled cases/day (not including unscheduled patients who are admitted) 3 cases night shift, 6 cases day shift
Beds in Department: 12 LDR + 3 low intervention rooms (midwifery)
# of RNs: Days average 7-9 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN s), Nights average 5-6 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN s) this number drops by about 1-2 nurses on weekend due to lower case-load
# of MAs: Hospital don t have MA s, but we have OB Assistants (3 on days, 2 on nights) and Surgical Technicians (3 on days, 2 on nights)
