Nights: 3x12 Hour Shifts (19:00 - 07:00), requiring every other weekend availability.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced, high acuity unit. This position focuses on the care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, and post MI, along with administering cardiac pharmacological interventions. The RN will also be involved in the management of a hematology/oncology unit currently developing a bone marrow transplant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across the MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy and other oncology treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV and blood product administration.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York RN license required (in hand).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry or similar specialty.
• Chemo Certification and ACLS/BLS certification required.
• Experience in a high acuity or fast-paced hospital environment preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
