Job Title: Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Charleston, SC
Duration: Contract (Duration TBD)
Shift:
Days
• 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) or
• 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• One late week every 4 weeks as needed to complete cases
• No weekends
• No on-call required
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide perioperative nursing care for ambulatory surgical patients in a fast-paced operating room setting
Assist with surgical procedures including Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative care team to support efficient case flow
May be required to precept and mentor perioperative staff within the operating room
Required QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
Experience working in an ambulatory OR setting
Ability to float within the perioperative department as needed
Current CertificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in multiple surgical specialties, including Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Previous experience precepting or training staff
