Job Details:

• Work either 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or 3 twelve-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• 1-2 call shifts per week (Monday-Thursday) starting after your shift until 7:00 AM the next morning
• 30-minute callback response time required
• 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks starting at end of Friday shift until 7:00 AM Monday
• No scheduled weekend shifts (call only)
• Holiday call coverage as needed per department requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Neuro, trauma, orthopedic and robotics experience required
• Must have neurosurgery experience and be able to function independently
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• Patient ratio 1:1 for all shifts
• Work with patients of all ages including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Must be able to work in tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Pennsylvania RN license required with no license hits accepted
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours to complete)

This large healthcare facility operates an 18-room operating department with 593 total beds and maintains a daily census of 50-60 patients. The facility specializes in complex neurosurgical procedures and trauma care, offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services. The organization maintains high clinical standards and requires extensive pre-screening and manager interviews for all candidates to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
