This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in an outpatient setting while supporting a long-term vacancy and permanent search. Position Details: Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Start Date: ASAP End Date: 09-30-2025 Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Provider Type: Physician Request Type: Locum Tenens Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Practice Setting: Outpatient Schedule and Duties: Shifts: 4 shifts per week 8-10 hours per day, depending on patient volumes Overtime paid after 40 hours per week Patient Volume: 12-15 patients per day Call: Beeper-only call for established patients Very light call: 2-5 calls per week (phone only) Additional Details: Oncology center has 3 additional established permanent providers Currently searching for a full-time Medical Oncologist Driving distance candidates preferred An apartment is available for locums Requirements: Board Certification: Yes, Board Certified or Eligible Fellowship: Required Licensure: Licensed in VA or through IMLC Certifications: ABLS: Yes ACLS: Yes BLS: Yes ATLS: No PALS: No EMR System: Aria Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45 days Temporary Privileges: Available Hospital Stroke Certified: Yes Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges Required: Yes Additional Information: This role offers a valuable opportunity for a locum tenens physician to make a significant impact in a supportive environment.
