About the Position High-Acuity, Level II Trauma, Full-Time Nights Advanced Surgical Care in the Rocky Mountains (21805)

A premier Rocky Mountain health system in Loveland, CO is seeking an exceptionally skilled Nurse Practitioner Nocturnist to join its elite Trauma & Acute Care Surgery team. This is a high-acuity, full-time night position designed for experienced APPs ready to make meaningful impact in a fast-paced Level II trauma environment.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Full-time Nocturnist (7 PM 7 AM)

• Role: Trauma & Acute Care Surgery NP

• Environment: High-acuity, Level II Trauma

• Coverage:

  • Trauma & emergency general surgery patients

  • Inpatient surgical units

  • Advanced overnight trauma management

• ️ Responsibilities Include:

  • Comprehensive trauma assessments

  • Ordering/interpreting diagnostics

  • Developing & managing treatment plans

  • Supporting trauma surgeons with procedures

  • Collaborative & autonomous patient management

  • Documentation in Epic EMR

• Professional Development:

  • Mentorship

  • Leadership pathways

  • Ongoing education through OAP

• Not accepting: Locums, locum-to-perm, visa candidates, or new grads

• ️ Experience: 2+ years trauma surgery OR surgical fellowship strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary:$136,822 $179,379 (based on experience)

• Up to $10,000/year through Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)

• Relocation Bonus: Up to $10,000

Submission Requirements (Must Be Listed in Submission Details)

• Graduate of accredited NP program, Master's required

• NP Certification: ANCC or AANPCB Required

• State License: Unrestricted Colorado NP license Required

• DEA Eligible Required

• Medicare/Medicaid provider status eligibility Required

• ️ Clean malpractice/license history highly preferred

• No HHS/OIG or GSA sanctions

• ️ BLS (AHA or Red Cross) Required

• Experience:

  • 2+ years trauma surgery, OR

  • Completed surgical fellowship Highly preferred

Certification Requirements
