Candidates must have Hematology and Medical Oncology certification, a valid Ohio medical license, and certifications such as BLS, with compensated travel and malpractice insurance included.
We are seeking a Board Certified Medical Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting May 4, 2026, for 84 days. This opportunity offers full-time or 3 days per week coverage with a mix of outpatient clinic, infusion coverage, morning inpatient rounds, and one week per month of hospital call, including weekends and evenings. Job Details Location: Ohio Start Date: May 4, 2026 LOA: 84 days Provider Type Needed: Medical Oncologist Schedule: 3 days per week, 8am-5pm; weekday on call 8am-5pm plus evening call; weekend call 8am-8am, once per month Responsibilities and Duties Conduct morning inpatient rounds prior to clinic Provide outpatient office and infusion coverage Write chemotherapy orders; oversee administration by nursing staff Be available for phone consults regarding infusion questions or patient reactions Manage minimal inpatient consults during work hours Handle weeknight and weekend call for assigned patients (primarily by phone; in-person for weekend calls) Collaborate with two other Oncologists and an Advanced Practice Provider in the office Manage infusion coverage via phone and EPIC in-basket on weekends Additional Information Board Certification required in Hematology and Medical Oncology Must hold a valid Ohio medical license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
