Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with RCIS and BLS certifications for a Level I Trauma Cardiac Cath Lab assignment.
Responsibilities
- Cardiac Cath Lab in an acute care Level I Trauma setting
- 719-bed hospital with an average of 40-50 cases per day
- Procedures include electrophysiology (EP), interventional radiology (IR), and cardiac catheterization
- 11 cath labs utilizing Epic EMR
- Work assigned to 8, 10, or 12 hour day shifts, primary shift is 10a-8:30p (evenings)
- On-call required 4-5 times per month, including one weekend per month
- Minimum of 3 days per month on-call coverage
- Responsibilities include assisting physicians with cardiac and vascular procedures, monitoring patient status, and operating relevant equipment
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Orientation provided at start of assignment
- Candidates may not have been employed (FT, PT, or PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year; PRN staff via outside firms are eligible
- Daily parking is available on/off campus for a fee
- Scrubs/dress code details provided on assignment
- Assignment length is 11 weeks
Requirements
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Submission must include a copy of driver’s license
- Two professional references required: a supervisor from within the last 12 months and a peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
