American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of scrub and circulate experience, SC or compact RN license, and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with Magnet recognition
- Assignment is within the hospital Operating Room, handling general, cardiac, vascular, and endovascular cases
- Night shift position with a 36-hour workweek (3x12s, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Possible holiday coverage required
- No on-call responsibilities
- EMR is Epic
- General OR duties include scrubbing and circulating for a wide range of surgical cases
- Potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Facility offers free and paid parking options depending on shift
- Pre-assignment modules (approx. 4 hours) required and completed before start
- All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application; approvals based on department needs
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
- Active SC or compact RN license required in hand at time of contract start
- Minimum of 2 years recent OR experience required
- Must have experience scrubbing general cases and circulating all cases, including cardiac, vascular, and endovascular
- BLS and ACLS certifications required, both must be AHA
- Radiation badge required (will be provided by agency)
- Preferred experience in scrubbing vascular and general cases
- Must provide SSN and driver’s license for consideration
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be considered for the travel pay rate; locals accepted on a case-by-case basis
