Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care hospital with every-other-weekend requirements and a 50-mile radius rule.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a long-term acute care hospital
- Patient population includes both medical-surgical and telemetry cases
- Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Use of Epic for charting
- Floating between like units within scope may be required
- Every other weekend work is required
- Local candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
- Responsibilities include providing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a long term acute care environment
- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated if possible
- All time-off requests are subject to manager discretion
- Two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years are required
- RTO (requested time off) restrictions may apply
- Applicants must provide interview availability upon request
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license must be in hand
- Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a similar setting is required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates with prior employment at the facility must have at least a 1 year break before returning as a traveler
- A maximum of 2 contracts allowed before requiring a 6-month break
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
