The GI-Endoscopy Tech I supports patient care during endoscopy procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining safety standards, and assisting medical staff. This entry-level role involves direct and indirect patient care, including participation in lower acuity cases and high-level disinfection tasks. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic life support certification, and offers opportunities for professional growth within a healthcare setting.
Minimum Qualifications (Level I):0-1 year of experience /Outpatient Centers and Rural Locations/Non-24-hour opportunity location (primarily an ASC or rural locale)
Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required. You may be asked to provide proof of education.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)required.
Experience:1. The Endoscopy Technologist I can successfully participate in lower patient acuity cases AND/OR high-level disinfection.
2. Completes one basic competency- Either Endoscopy Tech in Scope room competency OR Endoscopy Tech in Procedure Competency.
