The Sous Chef assists the head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, and managing administrative tasks. They mentor and develop kitchen staff while implementing operational changes and utilizing systems like POS and inventory management. The role requires culinary experience in a high-volume setting, strong leadership, and preferably Spanish language skills.
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef overseeing the Cafe, including administrative duties
- Ensure consistency in production and quality is met
- Mentor and develop staff, including training
- Works with Chef to implement changes in the kitchen
Sous Chef Requirements:
- Culinary degree is a plus!
- At least 3+ yrs in a high volume kitchen
- Strong leadership skills including mentoring and development
- Knowledgeable with systems, including POS and inventory systems
- Spanish language is preferred
