The Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, supporting unit activities and performing clerical tasks as needed. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, American Heart Association BLS Certification, and preferably Nurse’s Aide certification. The role requires strong customer focus, planning, problem-solving skills, and compliance with medical clearance and immunization requirements.
Night shift differential
Position Summary:
The Nurse’s Assistant functions as a member of the health care team and performs selected patient care activities under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, is responsible for identified unit support activities and identified critical clerical/administrative functions as directed.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Experience:
1 Year or participation in extended orientation/nursing assistant residency program.
Licensure/Certification:
American Heart Association BLS Certification
Certification as a Nurse’s Aide Preferred
Medical Clearance:
Employees must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct patient contact.
