Hiring Bonus Available: $2500 (paid at 1/3 at 45 days, 1/3 at 90 days, and 1/3 at 120 days post hire - employee must be in active, good standing).

As a Food Service Manager, you will manage all aspects of the school kitchen and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen. The Food Service Manager also prepares healthy meals and/or snacks for our students.

What You Get to Do:
- Create menus, order food, prepare meals and deliver meals to other locations.
- Order products on a regular schedule to eliminate out of stock items such as food, paper goods, cleaning supplies and snacks, as well as process inventory of all kitchen items.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all food preparation areas, food containers, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Maintain the highest level of sanitation and be responsible for the inspection with the health department.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Starting Pay: $26.00 to 28.00, depending on education and experience.
Are You Qualified?
Whether or not you have experience working in schools, you may be qualified to work with us. The most important quality is that you love working with children. Some of our best educators have come from other fields, including customer service, healthcare, retail, and more!
If you have the following, we would love to speak with you:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a school or childcare setting.
- Ability to meet state specific requirements for Safe-Serv and food service operations.
- Strong understanding of food safety, nutrition, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be dependable, organized, and passionate about serving children.
