A Board-Certified or Eligible Hematology-Oncology Physician is sought to join New England Cancer Specialists, Maine's largest independent oncology and hematology practice affiliated with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The role offers competitive compensation, a supportive multidisciplinary team, manageable patient volume, and access to advanced clinical research and precision medicine. Located in a scenic, family-friendly coastal community, the position includes four clinic days, one administrative day, low call burden, and benefits such as PTO and CME support.
New England Cancer Specialists (NECS)-Maine's largest independent oncology and hematology practice-seeks a Board-Certified (or Eligible) Hematologist-Oncologist to join its highly successful, physician-led group. As a private practice and affiliate member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, NECS offers the best of both worlds: autonomy, strong infrastructure, and access to cutting-edge research, tumor boards, precision medicine, and clinical trials.
The Practice
•Competitive compensation based on MGMA median ($550K+ base + wRVU bonus)
•4 clinic days + 1 administrative day
•Exceptional team support and collegial culture
+ Support team of APPs, Nurse Navigator, and Schedulers
•Primarily one location with optional outreach (1-2 sites)
•Manageable volume: 12-16 patients/day once ramped
•Low-burden call: 1:16 rotation, APPs take first call-just a handful of calls per year
•Two months PTO + CME
•BC/BE in Hematology and Medical Oncology required
