General Manager Benefits & Compensation

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in upscale or fine dining
- Minimum 2 years in a general manager or multi-manager leadership role
- Manager-level Food Handler Certification
- Strong knowledge of FOH/BOH operations, labor law compliance, and cost controls
- Experience with Toast, Tripleseat, Resy, and payroll systems (Accupay preferred)
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

- Proven leadership in NYC hospitality, particularly within high-end or intimate dining
- Understanding of East Hampton clientele and seasonal service dynamics

- Passionate about creating memorable, personalized guest experiences
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop venue leaders including assistant managers and department heads
- Partner with corporate operations and ownership on strategy, performance goals, and compliance
- Oversee scheduling, labor management, payroll, and financial controls
- Resolve complex guest concerns with a solutions-first, hospitality-driven approach
- Lead pre-shift meetings, trainings, and performance management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, alcohol service, and cleanliness standards
- Oversee event (BEO) management from intake through execution
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all guest, employee, and operational matters
- Be present on the floor during peak service periods and major events
- Step into operational roles as needed to support team success
