Job Summary
This position provides high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients, focusing on comprehensive, patient-centered treatment throughout their hospital stay. The provider works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective care that promotes positive patient outcomes and safe discharge.
Job Duties:
Deliver medical care to hospitalized patients, including initial assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management.
Perform thorough physical exams and diagnostic evaluations to develop accurate treatment plans.
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide patient management.
Prescribe medications and treatments following evidence-based guidelines.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
3 4 years of inpatient experience preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of disease processes and aging.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Collaborative team approach with innovative problem-solving abilities.
