American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and advanced EP procedural scrubbing skills for an acute care cardiac cath lab setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a level 3 trauma acute care setting in the cardiac cath lab, floating between two campuses approximately 7 miles apart
- Main patient caseload includes cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization cases, with an average of 6 cases daily across 3 suites at Bryan and 2 at College Station campuses
- Duties include scrubbing and monitoring for cases such as LHC, RHC, IVC filter, PPM, ICD, EP, peripheral angio/PCI, cerebral angio, aneurysm coiling, stroke thrombectomy, EVAR, and carotid endarterectomy
- Must float between Cardiac Cath Lab and EP lab and scrub ablations, LAAO cases, and device implants
- Equipment includes McKesson, Toshiba, and use of MEDITECH EMR system
- Monday through Friday 8-hour day shifts from 0630-1500 with required call responsibilities
- 10-12 on-call shifts per month including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a call response time of 30 minutes
- Responsibilities include scrubbing complex cardiac and neuro interventional cases, monitoring procedures, and supporting ablations and device implants
- Staff will receive unit-specific orientation upon start
- Call expectation includes weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- Navy scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Team support includes cath lab techs and a charge manager on-site
- Candidates are expected to float between designated campuses within the float radius zone
- Candidates must be able to arrive within a 30-minute window when on call
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab and EP procedures with proficiency in scrubbing ablations and devices
- Current BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Active state or compact licensure required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
- Experience with MEDITECH EMR and equipment such as McKesson and Toshiba preferred
- Must provide a copy of driver's license upon consideration
- Professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
- Previous direct employment with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year disqualifies eligibility; PRN work through outside agencies is allowable
