Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position with night shifts and Epic proficiency in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Nursing Float Pool covering Medical-Surgical (Telemetry) units
• Hospital-based role that may require floating to other local facilities as needed
• 12-hour night shifts are required
• Assignment duration is 4 weeks
• Care for adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Open to floating between Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital as needed
• Duties include caring for diverse adult med/surg and telemetry patient populations in multiple units
• Team will support onboarding with required day one orientation and competency testing
• First day orientation includes a pass/fail knowledge test with only one attempt allowed
• First time travelers are not restricted from applying
• Parking may be as high as $43 per day in certain locations
• Medical documentation, including proof of required vaccinations, must be provided for consideration

Requirements

• Active MA RN license or eligibility to obtain before start date
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• COVID-19 vaccine with booster and Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility—local candidates are not eligible
• All returning employees or travelers must have a 6-month break from any position at the health system
• Must successfully pass a day-one Tele/ECG and Medication administration test and complete Relias testing during onboarding
