LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Brownwood, Texas.

Unit Details
- Unit: MedSurg (Unit 2E)
- Beds: 13
- Average Census: 10–13 patients
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 (Days, Nights, Weekends)
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Telemetry: Limited (no cardiovascular drips)
Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Call Requirement: Yes – approximately one shift per 6-week schedule
Patient Types & Diagnoses
- Post-operative care
- Orthopedics & total joint replacements
- Diabetes management
- Pneumonia
- Wound care & wound vacs
- Continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
- Urology cases
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (license in hand required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience
- Travel experience required
- BLS required
- ACLS & NIHSS preferred
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:5
Clinical Skills Required
IV & Line Management
- Peripheral IVs, PICC lines, ports
- Central line blood draws
- Blood product administration
