This job is for a full-time Family, Internal, or Geriatric Medicine physician providing primary care to adults in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Responsibilities include managing patient medications, performing on-call triage duties, coordinating with facility staff, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree with at least three years of experience in long-term or geriatric care, with AMDA certification preferred.
Seeking a full-time Family, Internal or Geriatric Medicine physician to care for adults who reside in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities Provide primary-care services consistent with the standard of care for the specialty of family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine as it pertains to long term care facility work. Manage all Scheduled medication prescriptions specific to your facilitys patients and specialty Work with facility to manage systems Provide OnCall triage duties - all providers are expected to be available to their facilities between the hours of 7 AM and 7PM by text or phone on the scheduled days of work. Triage Policies and OnCall duties and scheduling will be modified as needed and all providers are expected to adhere to the newest agreed upon triage schedule. Establish and maintain open and positive communications with facility staff and administration Always maintain patient confidentiality at all times including appropriate use of Cell phone, emails text messaging, patient charts and EMR - abide by and be knowledgeable of HIPAA rules and regulations and CPT coding guidelinesRequired: MD or DO + 3 years experience with Long Term Care/Geriatric Care; AMDA Certified a plus but not mandatory
